I told you they would damage your concept of good band - the Markers were either the best thing you ever saw, just OK, or stupid bad and uninspiring - depending on how much weed you smoked and what you were expecting. For the record, Elisa is not Jimi Hendrix, Pete Nolan is an awesome drummer, and the Markers have a very heavily cultivated on-stage persona that teeters between complete disaster and incredible coordination. For those of you that attended, you may feel a slight twinge of regret, or at least left wondering how they ever got so big. I believe it is a carefully cultivated mystique predicated on hardcore fuck you thinking and incessant gigging.
